Getting Started

Library Grab 'N Go

Follow the steps below to place holds and pickup library items!


Step One Place a Hold

Request a book, DVD, CD, or any circulating item located at LPC using any of these three methods:

  1. Email circdesk@laspositascollege.edu
  2. Call 925-424-1151
  3. Use My Library account in Onesearch.  To do this:
    • Click here to open OneSearch to search for an item. 
    • Once you have found an item, click My Account, then login to your library account with your WID and Class Web Pin (first 6 digits only, if longer). 
    • Once logged in, click Place Hold.    Note that you can also request PDF copies of textbook chapters and reference items using My Account.  If that is an option for the item you need, you will see a button next to the place hold button in OneSearch.

Step Two Wait for word from us

Check your inbox for a notification letting you know your item(s) are ready for you.

Step Three Make a Pick-Up Appointment

Click the button to make an appointment to pick up your items.

Step Four Pick up your items

At the time of your appointment, please come to the library checkout desk, wear a mask, show your LPC student ID (or other picture ID), and practice social distancing. If you need to speak to someone, please call the Check-Out Desk at 925-424-1151 or use our 24/7 chat service.

Step Four

Step Five Return Items

Laptops, wifi hotspots, and other technology items should be returned in-person at the library by making an appointment (click here to make an appointment)

Books, DVDs, CDs can be returned in one of the two book drops on campus: 

  • The library book return box near the bus stop 
  • On the outside of the library building (return slot on the corner of the building, quad-side)
